L ‘EX\u00c9CUTION, C’ EST UN TERRORISME CRIMINEL D’\u00c9TAT !

La campagne de protestation \u00e0 travers la temp\u00eate de Twitter contre l’\u00c9tat du califat islamique chiite en Iran concernant la peine d’ex\u00e9cution de trois jeunes qui ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l’insurrection sanglante de 2019, a commenc\u00e9 mardi 14 juillet 2020, avec le hastgad #StopTheExecution. Ce slogan s’est rapidement transform\u00e9 en un soutien mondial de pr\u00e8s de six millions d’utilisateurs de Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd’hui, vendredi 17 juillet, cette statistique a atteint 10 millions d’utilisateurs de Twitter ! La col\u00e8re est descendu jsuque dans les couches les plus populaires dela population, comme en t\u00e9moigne cet \u00e9criteau d’un vendeur de rue d’\u00e9pis de ma\u00efs qui sous les prix a \u00e9galement \u00e9crit : \u2032\u2032 Arr\u00eatez l’ex\u00e9cution \u00ab\u00a0!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran security forces fire tear gas to disperse protesters<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7Iranian security forces fired tear gas on Thursday to disperse demonstrators gathered in the southwestern city of Behbahan, witnesses told Reuters, and there was a heavy presence of forces in other cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Videos posted on social media from inside Iran showed protesters chanting, \u201cFear not, fear not, we are in this together\u201d. Some protesters chanted slogans against top officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Videos posted on Twitter showed a heavy presence of security forces in several cities, including Tehran and Isfahan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Witnesses in Behbahan said there had been several arrests in the city, which is in Iran\u2019s oil-rich Khuzestan province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The videos on social media and arrest reports could not be verified by Reuters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internet blockage observatory NetBlocks wrote on Twitter that it had seen some internet restrictions in place in Khuzestan province late on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s clerical rulers have tried to prevent a revival of anti-government protests that took place last November, when over 1,000 of people are believed to have been killed in the deadliest street violence since Iran\u2019s 1979 Islamic revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s interior ministry said in May that the number of those killed was 225, including security forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople are angry. The economy is so bad that we cannot survive,\u201d said an Iranian man by phone from Tehran on Thursday, who asked not to be named due to security concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year\u2019s unrest began with protests over economic hardship but turned political, with demonstrators demanding top officials step down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s economy, hard hit by U.S. sanctions that have choked off its oil exports, has since further deteriorated as a result of the coronavirus crisis in past months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s judiciary announced on Tuesday that the death sentences of three men involved in last year\u2019s anti-government unrest had been upheld, sparking a surge of online protests against their sentences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people on social media called on people to stage demonstrations across the country on Friday to protest the death penalty for the three men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s Tasnim news agency said the security forces had arrested \u201ckey elements of opposition groups… who were encouraging people to protest on Friday in the northeastern Khorasan Razavi province\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
